How do I contact you?
The quickest way to make initial contact is by email or through the form on my website, I am not able to respond to calls when I am with clients.   The therapy rooms I use do not offer a reception service so please don’t pop in without an appointment.

I respond to messages on the same working day if received before 5pm.  Out of hours enquiries are responded to the next working day morning.

If you are expecting an email from me, please check your spam folder too.

If you do wish to call, please leave a voicemail with details and best times to contact you.

How does the initial session work?
I provide a free initial session to all potential clients; the session is for up to half an hour and they are currently offered by phone or online only.

The initial session gives me an opportunity to understand how I can help you, and for you to get a feel of how I work; it's a good way to assess if I am the right counsellor for you.  I don’t expect you to decide about working with me there and then, it is often helpful to take some time think it over.

These appointments need to be booked and quickest way to make an appointment by emailing or texting 07494 537 856.  Alternatively, you can fill out the form on my website.

How often would I come to therapy?
Ideally I recommend we start with weekly sessions, it will help build the therapeutic relationship, the work we do together, and it contributes to growth and healing.   I have clients that continue weekly and others that space out their sessions to every other week.

Some clients have sessions periodically when they feel the need a little extra support or can’t commit to weekly sessions.   We will discuss this at our Initial session and review work on a regular basis to make sure you are getting the best from your sessions.

How many sessions will I need?
It varies from person to person, I have worked with clients that only needed one session, to working with another for over two years.  It is something we can discuss at our initial session, and we will regularly review our work together to find out what’s best for you.

Where are you located?
I work from The Pavilions in Chichester; a space dedicated to mind, body and wellness.  There are 5 therapy rooms, a studio and daytime café. It is tranquil, with a beautiful green space which we can use if you would rather walk and talk therapy.

There is a small car park on-site and another one 2 minutes away, there are car parking charges.  Full details will be provided along with directions of how to get there. You can download a map with driving instructions from HERE (PDF).

Do you offer online or telephone counselling?
I offer online or telephone counselling for the initial consultation.  For ongoing online counselling sessions, I use Zoom; it provides a safe, secure and engaging space.  If you are unfamiliar with Zoom I can provide details of how to set it up and use it.

Though I offer a telephone call for the initial session, my preference is using Zoom because it is therapeutically beneficial to be able to see the client, and for the client to see the therapist.  I will consider working by phone on a case-by-case basis.

There are important considerations such as confidentiality with online or telephone discussions; if you plan to attend your session at home or at work, it is important that the counselling taking place in a confidential and safe space so that you can focus on the session.

Do you work Evenings and Weekends?
I currently work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. From 12th September, evening availability will only be Monday and Thursdays.   I occasionally do initial assessments and one-off sessions on a Saturday.

Demand for evening sessions is high, and at times I operate a waiting list for these.

How much do you charge?
I charge £50 per 50 minute session. Sessions need to be paid for 48 hours in advance via bank transfer; details will be provided as part of your counselling sign up.
